I know I said I was going to start blogging again in my last post, and I did really mean it - I can just never think about what to write about! A few weeks ago, I decided I was going to write this post and then start actively writing again because for one, these posts are a great reference for Reece for gifts and I really miss writing. I love going back through these posts and seeing what I received as gifts in previous years and I haven't been able to do that for the last couple. It also become part of my daily Christmas routine, as I can't lie, Christmas day itself is quite boring for me, after we eat my parents usually fall asleep and I'm left with not a lot to do. I'm also going to start blogging mine and Reece's trips again as I love going back to those posts too. So, here goes, what I got for Christmas 2022!
Pictured: Cath Kidston x Care Bears 'Wish Big, Tea for Two' set
I asked for this gorgeous tea pot set for Christmas as I loved this collaboration between Cath Kidston x Care Bears and thought this piece was especially pretty. I used to love the Care Bears as a child and even have a Care Bears phone case. I have sworn that this will not be used until me and Reece get our own house and my first cup of tea, will be brewed in this tea pot!

Pictured: NARS Summer Orgasm Mini Duo
This was another gift that I asked for as I have wanted to try the Orgasm blush for years and I'm not quite sure why I've never bought it myself. The lip balm is a perfect spring/summer shade so it will for sure be getting used lots in the upcoming months. I'm very excited to see what all the fuss is about with these!
Pictured: Fortnum & Mason 'Christmas & Other Winter Feasts' book
I have been obsessed with Fortnum & Mason for a while now and when I saw that they sold cook books, I stuck them all on my Christmas list. One of the things that I can't wait for when we get our own home, is to host Christmas dinner, and this book includes every mortal thing you need to know about cooking a Christmas dinner! I thought this would be perfect to guide me through my first Christmas dinner and would also look stunning in our kitchen.

I also asked for this cook book as some of the recipes inside looked gorgeous! I've spent the last few days rummaging through this book to see what I want to try first and I stumbled upon a mushroom wellington recipe which sounds delicious, so I think I'll give that one a go first!
Pictured: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Illustrated Edition
Reece bought me the first two books a couple of Christmas's ago and I have been going through a hardcore Harry Potter phase again, it annoyed me I didn't have them all so I asked for them for Christmas. These editions are just stunning and like I said to Reece when I opened them, I could just imagine sitting down to read this version with our children one day.
Pictured: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Illustrated Edition
Much like Prisoner of Azkaban, I also didn't have Goblet of Fire so added this to my Christmas list too. These books are so pretty and brilliant for collectors as they are so different to any other Harry Potter book. Now, I just need Order of the Phoenix and I'm up to date.. *hint hint Reece!*
Pictured: Passport, World and Plane charm
I completely forgot that I'd sent Reece a link to this charm forever ago and said it would make a perfect stocking filler present *wink wink* but I didn't expect him to actually purchase it for me! I think this charm is very apt for Reece to buy me, seeing as though we fly to each other all the time and we love travelling together!
Pictured: Tommy Hilfiger puffer jacket
This gift was a complete shock and something I wasn't expecting at all! Reece had actually sent me a link to this puffer to gage how I felt about it and I'm sure I replied with 'gutted it's not available in my size!' I love the pink separation of the typical Tommy Hilfiger red, white and blue, which gives this puffer a feminine feel. I can't wait to wear this on the next chilly walk I take!
This perfume has been on my 'to buy' list for over a year now and was one of the only things I asked my parents for as I know my Mum feels perfume is worth the price tag, so she would buy it for me! I had seen a TikTok a while a go that said if you want to smell like x then you should buy this perfume and the description for Her was strawberry shortcake, I mean who wouldn't want to smell like a strawberry shortcake! The perfume is actually a peony scent with honeysuckle, musk and a cedarwood base and let me tell you, it's stunning! Straight into my top five perfumes!
Pictured: Cats notebook
My parents always get me gifts from the cats and this year, I got two! I got this note book which has lined pages and a quote at the bottom of each page about cats. I'm going to find this super useful for work and, I get a quote about cats every day - win win!
Pictured: 'Madly, Deeply' by Alan Rickman
I was torn on whether I wanted to read this book as I feel exposing diaries of someone who has passed, isn't in great moral however, when I heard that Alan Rickman had wrote his diaries with the intention of them being published after his death, I knew I had to read this. I can't wait to read all about his life from his true perspective, working on all those film sets with so many celebrities, let's hope he spills some gossip!
Pictured: 'Beyond the Wand' by Tom Felton
I also wanted this book when I saw it had been released as I loved Tom Felton in Harry Potter and have of course, followed him after Potter ended. I love that I can read about Potter from his point of view and what it was like as a child, being thrust into that centre spot due to the films being so big! I'm really excited to read this book!
Pictured: Cat Stationary kit
This is my other gift from the cats and I have to say, I really like it! How useful is this set! It comes with a journal, bookmark, notebook, shopping list, card and envelopes and a pen. I think this is a wonderful gift and definitely agree with the memo that 'time spent with cats will never be wasted.'
Pictured: Meditate Apothecary set
While I haven't bought from LUSH in over two years now (wow, never thought I would say that!) I do still enjoy a nice bath! My Mum got me this set from M&S and it smells divine! The ingredients are black pepper, mandarin, cypress and cedar wood, and it smells like an expensive shop! The set includes a hand cream, body wash, bath salts, body butter and a cute little velvet head band,
Pictured: Harry Potter; Hagrid's Hut Terrarium
This was another gift that I asked for as I think this terrarium will look amazing on my Harry Potter bookcase shelf! I also have a mini Hagrid Funko Pop that will look so bloody cute next to the little hut once I have it all painted! I'm so excited to start this and see it all grow.
Pictured: Hogwarts water bottle
This was also a little jokey present and my Mum also bought a matching water bottle for Reece. In the winter, the office that we work in gets very cold, so cold even I (who is a super warm person) wore my puffer coat for an entire day whilst working! My Mum got us hot water bottles to take into the office for when it's a frost day so we can warm up!
Pictured: Essential First Aid Kit and Cough syrup
This, is a joke present off my stepdad - we do a joke gift every year and this year, I got him Percy Pig socks and he got me, this. He said the first aid kit is for when I move out, I must admit I am always asking for plasters because I cut myself shaving my legs, and it's a good kit with plenty of things that are always good to have around the house. The cough syrup, is because my lungs are shit so every morning when I wake up, I cough for a good 15 minutes until my lungs decide they want to breathe. As he starts work later than me, I usually wake him up spluttering around the house so I think this is a nudge to get my crappy lungs sorted some how!
Pictured: Harry Potter oodie
This was another gift that I had asked for! Like I said above, I am quite a warm person and it's not very often that I say I am cold. However, with all these rising prices, I refuse to put the heating on while I am working from home and as I'm sat on a metal chair and don't really get up much as I'm working at a computer, I have found myself getting a bit colder lately. I've heard so many people say oodies are amazing and I feel like everyone is getting one for Christmas this year! I picked this pretty blue on with Hedwig all over it as I thought it was cute!
Pictured: Gilmore Girls 'The Complete Series' DVD box set
Reece's parents gifted me the Gilmore Girls box set! I can't believe I put off watching Gilmore Girls until this year, then I totally fell in love with the show! I love having box sets of my favourite shows in case any of the streaming platforms it's on removes it so naturally this went straight on my list! I'm so pleased that it also includes the extra season too as I haven't watched it yet and I'm pleased to have the full true set!
This was another book that I had asked for for Christmas as I love tea and afternoon tea, but Reece thinks it's too expensive for what you get, so I wanted this book to be able to host the perfect afternoon tea myself and Reece's aunts very kindly gifted this to me. It has some amazing recipes for all kinds of things you can add to an afternoon tea and it has so much information on the origins of tea and which ones are rare to find! No longer will I be looking at a list of fancy teas and not knowing which to try, I'll have a list as long as my arm of ones to give a taste!
Pictured: Dior: New Looks book
I have been wanting this book for a while and when I saw it in TKMaxx, I knew it was supposed to be! My Granda gives all the grandchildren £50 for Christmas so I bought this with some of the money from him. I am obsessed with Christian Dior, his story and how Dior came to be the house it is today. This book takes you through so many couture pieces dating back to the start of the house and I can't wait to read through it all!
Pictured: 'Miss Dior' 100ml perfume
As I said my Granda gives us all cash for Christmas and after buying the Dior book I had some left over. I also had some vouchers from work that I had saved to spend when me and Reece visited Edinburgh before Christmas and I knew I wanted to spend them in Harvey Nichols as I always like to treat myself to something nice when we visit. I did originally plan on buying a lip gloss I've had my eye on for a while but changed my mind and decided I wanted a new bottle of Miss Dior as I had bought a 30ml bottle when we visited London in March, but it's very much empty! I was going to buy the 50ml bottle as with the vouchers, I would only have had to pay a small amount which was equal to the money left over from my Granda, but Reece talked me into the 150ml as it was more worthwhile, however that size has been discontinued unfortunately so I settled on the 100ml. I love this scent so much, it's a beautiful sweet floral and I also love the back story of this scent. Hopefully this bottle will last me much longer than my last!
Pictured: 'Until I Met You' by Amber Rose Gill and 'Good Cop Bad Cop' by Simon Kernick
Jess knows that I love a good book and recently, I've really got into reading again! I got into a rut of only really reading when I was travelling, but I've started playing less Sims, putting my phone down more and turning off YouTube. Since I started dedicating some more time to reading in say mid October, I've already read ten books, some of which being the Harry Potter series so please appreciate how chunky some of them books are! So I'm really pleased to add two more to my shelf to read! I actually nearly bought Until I Met You for myself so it's a good job I didn't! It sounds like a really good read! And I love anything crime, mystery or thriller too so Good Cop Bad Cop sounds right up my street! I just don't know what to read first!
Pictured: Hot Chocolate Stacking Tin
This winter season I have been obsessed with hot chocolate and I have been taste testing hot chocolates from every café and coffee we've been to! I'm obsessed with this trio of hot chocolates! I'm really excited to try them all as I've never tried a Whittard hot chocolate before! I also think this tin will be perfect for refilling with the same flavour, so handy that they all stack up!
Pictured: Mango and Passionfruit instant tea powder
When we went to London in March, me and Reece met up with my dads stepdad in Covent Garden and we went to Whittards for a cuppa and a chat. I ordered a mango and passionfruit tea as I fancied something different and I totally fell in love with the drink! It's super flavourful, which I find is a rare occurrence with fruit teas as I always feel they are lacking that punch of flavour. I have been meaning to buy myself some ever since but just never really got round to it, so I put this on my Christmas list. When I opened my gifts from Reece and he hadn't bought me it, I can't lie I was quite gutted as I really wanted to try it again, but Jess saved the day with this one! I've already had two cups, one of which I'm drinking right now! If you like fruity teas, I would 100% recommend this one, which can be drank either hot or cold!
Pictured: Estella Bartlett Shine Bright Jewellery Case
How adorable is this travel case for your jewellery! Jess popped on the tag that this would be useful for when I visit Reece and she is so right! I usually stick my jewellery in a little Pandora drawstring bag and I'm always terrified that I will lose an earring as it's not very secure, whereas this is perfect! I have plenty of space for earrings and rings and can even fit my bracelets in it too! I'll be taking this to Reece's next week for sure!

Pictured: Mickey Mouse tumblr cup
I love a sippy cup, I'm so clumsy when it comes to drinks that I like them because if they tipple over, they rarely make a mess due to the screw on lid. I love this one that Jess has bought me, it's like a party in a cup before the drink is even in there! I'll be filling it up with plenty of iced mango and passionfruit tea for the summer!
Pictured: Chenille Pj's
I love a new pair of pj's, it's actually an obsession I have and I need to go through all my pj's and throw out the old ones that I never reach for anymore, so perfect timing for a new pair! These chenille pj's are so cosy, I can't wait to wear them! And the super festive red matches perfectly with my cute Christmas bed sheets I have on at the moment. These are going to keep me so warm and cosy!
Pictured: Trinket Dish
I have actually been looking for a cute little trinket dish for a while as I have a pouffe next to my bed that I basically treat as a bedside table, and I have a coaster on it for any drinks, but I have been finding myself dropping my earrings or bookmark on there, forgetting, and then placing a drink on the coaster and of course it doesn't land flat and I have had a few near misses with water going all over my bedroom! So how perfect that Jess gifted me this one for Christmas! I love the pattern, the gold edging and it's the perfect size for holding my bookmark and the little book light I have for reading at night too!
Pictured: 'Miss Dior: Blooming Bouquet' 50ml perfume
When I tell you my jaw dropped when I opened this gift, I mean it nearly hit the floor! As I said above, I love Miss Dior and I have this version of it that I have been using sparingly as it's only a small 10ml bottle, I have been meaning to purchase a full sized bottle of the Blooming Bouquet version, but I've just never got round to it. I was not expecting to get such a gift from Jess at all! I feel like my gifts look like shit compared to what she got me now! I can't thank you enough Jess, I love it!!
I am so truly thankful for every gift I have received for Christmas, and I hope everybody reading this blog post had a wonderful Christmas and has a very happy New Year!
