♥ LUSH Community: Perfumes & Body Sprays!

I was so pleased when I heard that the exclusive perfumes and body sprays were being released on the 1st of December. I end up missing out on most of the LUSH Labs releases with the products being released on the 29th as I don't get paid until the last working day of the month, which usually lands on the 30th or the 31st. I knew I'd be able to get exactly what I wanted with this release and I'm really pleased with everything that I purchased. I got the majority of the scents available and also picked up some of the LUSH Community bath bombs, which I was really pleased about as I was worried these would go out of stock. Let's get into the perfumes and body sprays and what I think about them!
Pictured - Lord of Misrule perfume (£29)
I have been looking for the liquid version of this perfume for such a long time! When the body spray came out last year, I ordered two because I thought I would wear it all the time, but I ended up selling on my extra bottle as I barely reach for it. After using the perfume, I can see myself wearing this version a lot more. I find the body spray very strong and much more on the patchouli side, whereas the perfume is a total replica of the bath bomb scent, you can smell the vanilla a lot more and it's a lot more gentle once it settles into the skin. I'm so pleased I finally have this in my collection, it finished off my Lord of Misrule set!

LUSH seem to be really expanding this scent family. Within the space of a year we've gone from having the co-wash, to a lotion, shower gel, bath bomb and a body spray! I was really in two minds about whether to purchase this spray or not. As much as I love the scent, I wouldn't say it's a favourite, one that I crave or one I reach for a lot. However, I picked a bottle up anyway as I thought I might regret it if I didn't, and I am super pleased that I did! When first sprayed, Avocado Co-Wash does smell extremely strong of alcohol, but that soon settles and that sweet sherbert scent soon comes through. I find this scent quite sour in this format, like a sour sweet, but it still works so well. I prefer to spray this on my clothes in oppose to my skin as I don't think the scent works well with my skin. That being said, I can't see this bottle lasting me very long, I've already reached for this one the most out of the bunch!
Pictured - Butterball liquid perfume (£19)
When I saw that this was becoming a thing, I was so bloody excited! Butterball is a scent I have fall for in the past year or so, and the shower jelly that was released as part of the Christmas range is probably one of my favourite items this year. I wasn't too sure how that sweet chocolate scent would come across in a perfume, but it actually works really well! I'd say that this format is very close to the jelly, it literally makes my mouth water! This scent works really well with my skin and doesn't settle differently, which I'm super pleased about. I really want to order a back up bottle of this as I feel once I start using it I'm going to use it all the time!
Pictured - Golden Pear body spray (£20)
I was really excited to smell Golden Pear as the soap smells absolutely incredible, but then I heard a few people saying that the scent didn't work in this format and smelt like rotten cider! At first spray, I definitely smell the sweet pear scent, then it changes to a very strong alcohol scent and then it changes to a slightly sweetie type scent, quite like bubblegum and then settles to a scent very reminiscent of Golden Pear, but as if it's had a slice of Christmas chucked in there. This scent reminds me of a Christmas market, literally! It's such a gorgeous festive scent that I can see me dousing myself in on Christmas day. I really love this a lot more than I thought I would and I really like the way it smells on my skin too.
Pictured - Yog Nog perfume
I have been desperate to get my hands on a bottle of Yog Nog for years, but the resale prices of the original bottles were far too steep for my liking. I was worried about whether I would enjoy this perfume or not, due to my dislike of the body lotion, which I'm still a little gutted about. I really love the scent in the bath bomb, bubble bar and soap, but the lotion just smelt very savoury to me and reminded me of Green Coconut which still makes me gag every time I think about it. I bought the perfume on a whim as I was going to purchase the oil, but knew if I loved it I'd regret not getting the 30ml bottle. To my absolute shock, I really like the perfume! I can smell that sweet foodie butterscotch type scent with just the perfect amount of spice! It's so gorgeous! I love how when this settles into my skin, it gets sweeter and spicier, the Yog Nog scent really does work in this format.
Pictured - Calacas body spray
I mean, it's about time LUSH! I'm so pleased I can now leave my home on a morning absolutely stinking of this gorgeous sweet lime scent! I'm really pleased that LUSH decided to make this scent in a body spray format and not a perfume, I'd go through a 30ml bottle in no time! I have had so many compliments when I've been wearing this spray as it smells so gorgeously mouth watering. I prefer to spray this on my clothes to get that exact Calacas lime scent, I find it changes on my skin and this makes the neroli really come through. It's exactly what a Calacas fan could have wanted in a spray, it's perfect.
Pictured - American Cream perfume
I knew this time would come, I knew I just needed to be patient and wait it out. Finally I have a bottle of American Cream that is actually wearable! I already have two bottles of American Cream perfume, one being the super old retro bottle where the shape of the bottle is the same as the current bottles, but the atomiser is long and gold. This bottle smells awful, like pure alcohol and a slight American Cream whiff to it. I also have the retro black bottle too, which smells better, but still quite chemically. I used American Cream the first day I received my perfumes, of course! I absolutely adore it! I knew I'd want a back up bottle before I even received this, but now I need one! If I get any money for Christmas and this perfume is still in stock, screw the Boxing Day sale, I'm ordering a box full of these!
As you can see, I didn't purchase any of the oils, I thought for the price tag they had compared to the 30ml perfumes, I was better off getting the bigger bottles. I'm also quite annoyed for the overseas lushies that LUSH released the perfume scents in the oil format, surely it would have made more sense for the body spray scents, or all the scents, to be transposed into a oil format, so they could also purchase those scents? It just doesn't make much sense!
Did you purchase any of the LUSH Community perfumes or sprays? Let me know in the comments what you got and what you think of them!
