♥ Zoella Beauty 'Snow'ella' Collection - Review!

Okay, I know I might be a bit late to the party, reviewing a Christmas collection in January.. But these products are still available to purchase in Superdrug right now and they are dirt cheap! I had a couple of these products before Christmas as I bought them for myself and I also got gifted some sets from my parents, but I felt like I didn't have enough products to write a full review. I had seen the Treasure Me gift box way before Christmas and thought to myself that I would consider grabbing myself one in the Boxing Day sales. Of course, I spent way too much in LUSH and didn't buy anything else as I was left pretty much coinless. But the other day when I went into my local Superdrug and saw that they were selling off the Treasure Me gift set for only £9.99, I just couldn't say no! For the gorgeous box and all the full size products you get inside, I thought it was a total steal! So I thought now I have the majority of the collection, I could let you all know if it was good so you could go and grab yourself a £9.99 box of goodies!

Snow'ella body mist

The body mist was the first thing that I purchased, way back when this collection first launched. I checked my Superdrug a few times before it was finally in store, I even considered ordering it online to be delivered into store the next day, but luckily it didn't take too long to make it's way to my local. I have every single one of Zoe's fragrances, and I like them all with the exception of one, so I was keen to try this one and see whether I liked it or not. This scent does not disappoint! Snow'ella is a very fresh and clean scent with a fruity twist to it. Apparently, the notes in this scent are mint, cranberry and peony, but I really don't pick up on any of them scents. Possibly the peony once the scent has sunk into the skin, but to me, I think this scent smells like elder-flower, which is beautiful! It is definitely a stunning scent and it lasts on your skin and clothes all day.

Merry & Bright bubble bath

Firstly, I really like the packaging of this bubble bath, I think the bottle looks gorgeous sat out on show and the extra added touch of the pom pom bobble that comes around the neck of the bottle is super cute. Being honest, the bobble is the reason that I bought another one as I wanted two of these for when I wear my hair in plaits. On to the actual product, this bubble bath is super thick, so even though the bottle is cute, I don't think it is practical for the consistency of this liquid. When I used this, I did mix it with three other products and the bubbles weren't anything amazing, but the smell was really nice.

Winter Wonder Hand hand cream

I am not a consistent hand cream user, but I really should be. Sometimes my hands are so dry that the lines in them start to crack and it looks like I have covered my hand in PVA glue and it's peeling of - sounds super attractive right! I loved the hand cream that Zoe released last year as it was super thick but didn't leave your hands feeling really greasy or take forever to sink into the skin. I would say that Winter Wonder Hand is a very similar consistency, however I have found it does take a little longer to sink into the skin. I have a mini one at work and as I am handling lots of paper and using my hands a lot in the office, I find my hands tend to get dryer towards the end of my working week so I reach for my mini cream I have in my drawer quite a lot. I think I will use this up and then move onto another one from a different brand as I don't think it's making much difference to the dryness.

Snow Scoop bubble bath

I really have no idea why Zoe has released two different bubble baths in the same collection, when they are the exact same product. The scent is clearly the same as all the products in this collection are the same fragrance and they have the exact same consistency. The bonus about Snow Scoop, is that the bubble bath being in a pot works better as you can grab a handful of the bubble bath instead of waiting for the thick liquid to drain out of the bottle neck of Merry and Bright. The only downside to this is that you have to hold the bubble bath under running water to get bubbles, so you burn your hand ti pieces trying to get some bubbles in your bath, it's a bit of a mess. I also used this alongside with Merry and Bright and two other products and there really weren't a lot of bubbles.

Snow Polished body polish

I love to have a good scrub in the shower or the bath. I like the scrub to be so scrubby that it kind of hurts, that's when you know that you're getting a good exfoliation. When you squeeze out a bit of Snow Polished, it looks very promising, you can see the exfoliation properties and it feels really gritty. However, once you start massaging this into your skin, the exfoliation properties start to disintegrate far too quickly and I felt like I didn't have enough time to work it into my skin to get a good scrub. Usually after using a scrub, especially on my legs, I can feel straight after that my legs are super smooth and soft. This really wasn't the case with Snow Polished. I think I'll go through these two bottles pretty sharpish as I don't think they're anything special to keep hold of.

Snow Smooth body butter

Another thing that confused me with this collection is that Zoe has released both a body butter and a body lotion, in the same scent. Snow Smooth is super thick, as in you can hold the tub upside down and the product doesn't move, it's that thick! With a body butter, you'd expect a lot to go a long way, but it just doesn't with this product. The body butter is a little stiff and takes a bit of work to work it into the skin, making it hard to stretch the product. I don't think I'll end up using both of these, but at least the packaging is nice!

Snow Silky body lotion

As I've just said, I couldn't understand why both a lotion and a butter had been created, but after using this lotion, I can kind of see why. Snow Silky is totally different to the butter. Snow Silky actually does what it is supposed to do. A little bit of product does go a long way with this lotion and it really does leave your skin feeling silky and smooth to the touch. The fragrance isn't too in your face with this product, which I like as I feel it may be a bit too overpowering if it was stronger. This will be a product I would reach for again.

Splash of Milk bath milk powder

I had never used bath milk powder until I tried this one, and I really didn't know what to expect. Does it create bubbles? Does it make my bath water milky? Does it make my bath water smooth? I don't really have anything to say about this product, as I don't think it made any difference to my water at all. It maybe made the water a little cloudy, but I didn't feel any extra silkiness in the water or feel like it made my skin any smoother.

Snow Fresh body wash & loofah

I am in two minds as to how I feel about this body wash. Snow Fresh has quite a thick consistency, so it's one of the washes where when you squeeze out the product, half of it is sucked back into the bottle, which I find super irritating. The scent is there with this product, but it's not very strong and being honest, if I want anything to smell strong then it's the body wash. It did lather quite nicely and a little goes a long way, but I just can't see myself reaching for this over my LUSH shower gels as it doesn't give me what they do. I didn't feel like this nourished my skin as much as my other gels do, maybe I'm being spoilt with the ingredients in LUSH products?

A Winter Soiree, All Is Bright small coin purse

This was one of the first products I bought when the Snow'ella collection became live and I bought it purely for the little coin purse. This included a rollerball of the fragrance and a mini Winter Wonder Hand hand cream. I haven't used the roller ball yet but I am using the mini hand cream at work. I have found this sized purse very useful! I carry it in my handbag on a daily basis, it keeps my bits and bobs like lipsticks and tampons safe! I also used this for my make up brushes when I travelled over to Northern Ireland to see Reece before Christmas and it was perfect. I think this is my favourite part of this collection!

Brew Me a Bath bath tea bags

Just like the bath milk powder, I really don't understand the point of this product and it feels like this is repackaged bath milk powder but in a teabag, just the same with the two bubble baths, the same product but packaged differently. I didn't feel this gave anything to my water, no scent or anything so I would pass on this one, as cute as they are. I feel like I may re-purpose these by hanging them in my wardrobe to keep my clothes smelling fresh.

Being 100% honest, as much as I like this scent of this collection, I feel like the products just didn't do my skin any good. After I bathed with these products, my skin felt really dry! When I was moisturising my legs, the skin felt really dehydrated and very much not like my skin usually does. I don't even know which product caused this to happen as I used a few products at once, but I don't think I'll be doing that again. I'm rather disappointed with the range as there are only a couple of products that I enjoyed, but even they aren't super amazing and nothing that I would rave about. It may just be my skin type, but it's hard to say when it made my skin that super dry and I don't tend to have any major issues with my skin drying up. I do get patches of dry skin, but my whole leg felt like cardboard when I was applying the lotion.

I think the only bonus of these products is that the packaging is stunning and looks really nice on show, but that's really not enough for me to recommend the products for you to buy. I would suggest picking up the fragrance itself and possibly the make up bag with a couple of bits inside.

You can purchase the Snow'ella collection from Superdrug here, but I would be quick! If the products you want to try are not available on the website, I would highly recommend visiting your local Superdrug store.

♥ YouTubers You Should Watch - Vlogmas Edition!

I can't believe it's already that time of the year to hang the decorations up, put the Christmas bedding on and for Vlogmas to start! If you're a fan of YouTube and you're like myself, you come home and watch all your favourite YouTubers on repeat, then I'm guessing that Vlogmas is also your favourite time of the year. What's better than your favourite YouTubers uploading on a daily basis! I have a lot of YouTubers that I follow and watch often, so I thought I would let you all know which ones are my favourites that will be taking part in Vlogmas, vlogging every day until Christmas!

Joe Sugg - thatcherjoevlogs

Even though I don't think Joe has seen an entire vlogmas through, ever, I do still watch his vlogmas videos as he always seems to be doing the least festive things ever and it's quite funny when everybody else is all Christmas trees and wrapping gifts! As always though, Joe's vlogs are always a pleasure to watch and I love his and Zoe's Christmas videos that are uploaded on Christmas Eve every year, I'm excited to see what they do this year!

Logan Paul - loganpaulvlogs

It may be a bit of a cheat putting Logan Paul into a vlogmas post, as Logan posts daily anyway, but I'm sure after buying the largest pumpkin in California for Halloween, I'm sure he will be putting out some pretty festive vlogs over December. If you haven't watched Logan before, why?! I get that he probably gets a lot of backlash from being Jakes brother, but I actually find him really quite entertaining and think he puts a lot more effort into his vlogs than some other daily vloggers. You should for sure check out Logan if you need a daily dose of YouTube and I'm positive he'll fbring out some festive videos this month.

Mark Ferris - thebifflovesyou

I think a lot of people will only know of Mark due to his friendship with Zoe, but I've been following Mark for quite a while now, since before he and Zoe met. As much as I love them together and I could watch their videos on repeat, Mark is also a really good YouTuber in his own right! He has recently just moved into his own apartment so I know his vlogmas this year is going to be great, probably decorating the flat and a lot of Christmas themed videos! I'm excited for Marks vlogmas, and of course when him and Zoe get together to share gifts, I love seeing what people have bought each other!

Zoe Sugg - morezoella

Would it really be a vlogmas post without mentioning the queen of YouTube Christmas herself, Zoella? I think Zoe gets as excited for Christmas just as much as I do! For the past two years, Zoe also uploaded a video on her main channel every day for Christmas, but I can imagine that would have been really quite stressful so I don't blame her for not doing it this year. Zoe takes you along on buying her tree, decorating her house, daily advent calendars and so much more. If you have never watched a Zoella vlogmas, you're missing out!

Alfie Deyes - pointlessblogvlogs

And if Zoe uploading on a daily basis isn't enough and you need a little bit more of her, you can always check out her boyfriend Alfie who daily vlogs anyway, so he will definitely be vlogging every day up until Christmas!

Are there any vloggers that you like to watch over the festive period? I am always looking for new YouTuber's to watch so leave your favourites down in the comments below!

♥ June Favourites

June, where have you gone? I feel like we've just entered this month and we're already on to the next! I'm guessing you know how this post is going to go, I have things that I have been enjoying this month and I'm going to share them with you!

Pictured: Calacas and Brightside body lotions

If you have read my post regarding my LUSH Kitchen favourite products, you will have seen these two black tubs. A couple of weeks ago the LUSH Kitchen held a public vote for Lushies to vote for their favourite scent that they would like to see in new formats, for example Brightside was a scent that was only available in the format of a bubble bar, so they created a body lotion and a solid perfume, that carries the same scent. As soon as it was announced that these products would be available, I knew I needed the Calacas tub as it is one of my favourite scents. I bought the Brightside because it was still available when I made my online order and I love the scent, so I knew I'd like the lotion. These tubs will last me forever, as 240g of body lotion is a lot! The consistency of these lotions is rather thin, so I find they are perfect for using in the summer months as they don't feel heavy on your skin or leave you feeling sticky. If you like LUSH and you like tangy citrus scents and can get your hands on either one of these tubs, I strongly suggest! If you'd like a bit more information on the scents, you can read my description of them in this blog post.

If you haven't heard of Logan and Jake Paul, where have you been for the last couple of months? I am obsessed with YouTube, and I have been for a good few years now. I usually stick to the same YouTubers and I have done for the past few years, with maybe the addition of a couple that I watch regularly. Some of the vloggers that watch, I have been watching for years, I've seen them move out of their family homes and stand on their own two feet, I've seen them have children, literally multiple children! I never really find a new YouTuber and start watching them all the time, so I was surprised when I came across the Paul brothers and actually really liked their videos. Logan and Jake got big on a social media platform called Vine, which has since closed for good. They both made YouTube channels and have become two of the fastest growing channels in YouTube history. Firstly, we have Logan , who is a daily vlogger from Ohio living in LA. Logan vlogs his daily life, has an ongoing prank war with his brother and is always doing super ridiculous things on a daily basis. Logan is hilarious, you can guarantee that any video of his that you watch will make you laugh as he doesn't take himself too seriously and really makes an effort to ensure that his vlog is full of content to keep his viewers watching. Jake, Logans younger brother, is just as funny. Jake is obviously also from Ohio and also made the big move to LA. Jake lives with a few other YouTubers who come together for the channel Team 10. Jake also daily vlogs and is an actor, with a reoccurring role in a Disney television show. Together, I think the Paul brothers are two of the best YouTubers that have, Logan at this current moment has 6.7 million subscribers and Jake has 7.2 million subscribers. This will most likely change at the time of publication as Jakes subscribe sount has grown by 6.1 millon in 6 months and his view count currently sits at 1.036 billion. Logan's stats aren't too far different either, with his subscriber count growing by 5.1 million in just six months and his view count being 772 million. To have this much success on YouTube in such a short space of time is unheard of. When you look at some of the other YouTubers like Joe Sugg (ThatcherJoe) who has been on YouTube since late 2011 and only just hit 8 million subscribers, it really puts it into comparison how much these two have blown up. In my opinion, I think they deserve it, especially Logan. You can tell he works hard to give creative and funny content to his viewers and he does the job well!

I have been following Pretty Little Liars since 2011. That's six whole years of watching a television show, waiting for the new season to come out, trying to work out who A is and falling in love with the characters and story lines. I don't think I've ever followed a show for so long and still been so excited and interested in the show six years later. If you haven't watched Pretty Little Liars, I strongly suggest you do! This show really grabs you and pulls you in to the relationships and families of the characters. You really root for relationships to happen and you genuinely feel sad when characters die. The story that started all the way back in 2010 began with five girls, Alison, Hanna, Aria, Emily and Spencer, who had been the best of friends at school until one night, Alison disappears. A year later the four remaining girls have drifted apart and there is still no information as to what happened to Alison that night. The four girls start to receive texts, taunting the girls with secrets from their pasts, from an unknown number, signed 'A' and they start to believe that Alison may not be dead like everybody thinks she is, as only she knew the information that they are being teased with. The show takes some twists and turns over seven seasons. A lot of people die, a lot of text messages are sent and a lot of scary shit happens to the 'liars' as they are dubbed. I am currently writing this blog post before the last episode is aired, so I do not currently know who AD is and I do not know how this story is going to end. I am heartbroken that this show is coming to a stop. After waiting for a new episode to pop up on Netflix every Wednesday, I'm already starting to feel that blank gap inside myself that I just need to fill with something. This is the same way that I felt when I viewed the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and after I watched the last episodes of Desperate Housewives and Prison Break. I honestly believe that a television show can become part of your life, you plan you life around these shows or record them to ensure you don't miss a thing! I think I'll write a whole blog post dedicated to Pretty Little Liars once I've seen the final episode, as it's been such a huge part of my life for the last six years, I think it deserves it. I just really hope the ending is perfect, and I hope all the couples get together and stay together! #Spoby, #Haleb, #Ezria & #Emison for life!
