♥ YouTubers You Should Be Watching!

November 20, 2016

A few years ago, I stumbled upon YouTube. At that time, it was a place where people uploaded silly videos of their pets doing weird stuff and their children biting each other. YouTube has grown into a place where people upload their lives and post weekly or daily videos for people to watch. People have created a career from purely uploading videos of their daily life and showing it all to the world.

I have since stopped watching TV. I never really watched it much anyway. Any TV show I follow, I can watch online from the comfort of my own bed using my laptop. I got so invested in some of these people who started uploading onto YouTube, that I couldn't not find out what they'd got up to or what they'd bought recently.

YouTube turned into something great, people using their platform for good reasons, sharing tips on dealing with anxiety and mental illness, providing an outlet for people to get away to. YouTube now, is what reading was for me when I was a kid. I started following some of these YouTubers when they had a few hundred thousand subscribers and now they have millions.

I thought I would share with you all some of my favorite YouTubers, so if you're just getting into YouTube or your like me all them years ago, someone who visits YouTube to find funny videos, you should check these guys out!

If you're a regular to my blog, you'll have heard of Zoe Sugg by now. Zoe is one of the OG YouTubers. Zoe created a blog in 2009 where she reviewed beauty products and started to gain a large following who all prompted her to create a YouTube channel. I bet she's glad she took that advice! Zoe currently has 11,293,317 followers on her main channel and 4,394,516 on her vlogging channel. Zoe posts content like home hauls, where she shows her viewers things she has purchased for her home, make up tutorials showing you how to create the latest trend and every body loves her collabs with her brother, Joe, who you will learn a little more about below. Zoe also vlogs on her other channel, MoreZoella. Zoe is easily one of the biggest YouTubers around and she has many loyal followers. That's probably how shes managed to release three books, a beauty range and a lifestyle range. I think Zoe is so popular because shes straight with her followers, she doesn't keep it a secret that she deals with anxiety and she is even a Digital Ambassador for the charity, Mind, which is working towards breaking the taboo of speaking about mental illness. I think Zoe is going to be around on YouTube for a long time yet! You can also check out her blog here, +Zoella.

Another YouTuber I watch religiously just happens to be Zoe's brother Joe! Joe was originally a roof thatcher who transitioned his career into YouTube by popular demand. He featured on Zoe's channel where the pair done 'The Sibling Tag,' and the video was bombarded with comments saying that Joe should create his own channel. I subscribed to Joe when he had one video and a few thousand followers. Joe now has three channels, his main channel ThatcherJoe which has 7,526,793 subscribers, his vlogging channel (even though he is not a daily vlogger!) ThatcherJoeVlogs with 3,438,265 subscribers and a gaming channel, ThatcherJoeGames which has 1,620,974 subscribers. Joe has well and truly earned his right to not be referred to as 'Zoellas brother.' His videos contain challenges, many of which he created himself, collabs with other YouTubers and many more videos that will make you cry laugh. Joe's most popular videos are his prank videos, his biggest prank video has over 14 million views! Joe used to live with another YouTuber, Caspar Lee, who began a prank war. The videos are hilarious and make you wonder how either slept at night without panicking the other would do something to them! I think all their subscribers were devastated when they confirmed earlier this year that they were moving out and parting ways. Joe holds the world record for the fastest selling graphic novel ever, with his debut book Username: Evie and also has a second graphic novel, Username: Regenerated.  Joe also has two films, Joe and Caspar Hit the Road and Joe and Caspar Hit the Road USA which is available to purchase in a few days. Joe is one of them YouTubers that if I'm having a crappy day and I need something to cheer me up, I'll stick on one of his videos and I'll be laughing in no time!

Bunny is one of the strangest but coolest people you will ever watch. Obsessed with old dolls and ancient photographs of random people that are so old they're in sepia filter, Bunny has a huge following with 7,808,408 subscribers. When Bunny first started uploading onto YouTube, her videos were all about the supernatural and she would talk about her encounters with ghosts and her ghost hunting. Bunnys content has changed since the oldest videos from 2011 which she still has live on her channel. Nowadays, Bunny does make up tutorials and first impressions, she does unboxing videos of Shopkins and monthly subscription services and she also films hauls of clothes she buys and vintage finds that she gets her hands on in her favorite store Uncommon Objects. My favorite videos of Bunny's are her 'Does This This Really Work?' videos, where she purchases items that are''As Seen On TV' and tries them out to confirm whether they actually work or not. Bunny has become such a recognizable YouTuber that she was able to pair up with Tarte Cosmetics to create her own make up palette which contains nine eye shadows, a bronzer, blush and highlighter and available separately, two liquid lipsticks (as she hates anything glossy!) Bunny is a lover of all things Halloween and counts down the days each year for her favorite season. She's crazy and I love how she really doesn't care what people think of her. She is comfortable with being herself, as wacky and weird as she is. I don't think she gets enough credit for how much of a great YouTuber she is and I think she deserves so much more recognition than she gets.

Roman started out on YouTube with his 'main' channel, RomanAtwood, where he uploaded prank videos. This channel blew up and gained 9,926,193 subscribers. Nowadays, Roman is much more active on his vlogging channel where he (attempts) to daily vlog his life with his long term girlfriend Britt and his two children, Noah and Kane. Roman shows his subscribers what life is like being a dad. He oozes his message 'Smile More' through his videos and teaches his subscribers that family should be the main thing in everybody's lives. Roman also expresses his message through his home based company - and when I say 'home based' I mean home based, like in his back garden! Roman and Britt started creating t-shirts spreading the 'Smile More' message in their basement, sending them out to fans who bought them online. This business grew so much that Roman had to build a store in his back garden to stock all the products as they grew the line to include hoodies, wrist bands, rucksacks and so much more! Roman also has a gaming app called Smile Inc which is free to download from the App Store/Play Store. Roman never fails to thank his subscribers for all that they have given him, the stability of being able to provide for his family but also be able to stay at home with them and not miss out on his boys growing up. Roman and Britt are expecting their second baby, which should be due in the summer. I would highly recommend Roman to anybody who is looking for a YouTuber to watch. He always looks on the positive side of everything, does crazy things with fireworks and his kids are two of the loveliest little ones around.

I stumbled upon Tana sometime last year when she had around 100,000 subscribers, her channel has quickly grew within that time and she has just reached 2,000,000 this week. Tana posts videos where she tells her subscribers about all the weird things she has done or the strange situations she has been in, which are hilarious. Tana is one of them people that could tell the most boring story in the world but it would still make you cry laugh because she's just that kind of person. Tana makes it pretty clear to her subscribers that she isn't a Beauty Guru, although she has done a couple of videos showing how she does her make up, but that's because it was so highly requested. Tana is probably most popular for her stalker videos, where she divulges information about this guy who has been stalking her since the second grade and who she thinks has found a way into her home and has her phone tapped. Tana is dealing with that situation well, and as much as people say shes lying about the situation and talking shit, I genuinely believe her. I can't believe that someone would make something like that up and she seems genuinely scared when she talks about it in her videos. If you're looking for a straight up YouTuber who will make you pee your pants with laughter, I would highly recommend you check out Tana!

I believe I first found these two via a collab channel that they were part of called Our2ndLife (O2L for short) which also featured YouTubers such as Connor Franta and Ricky Dillon. O2L came to an end in December 2014 and still has 3,150,518 subscribers to this day, (I think they're hoping for a reunion!) Kian and Jc decided to stay together and create their own channel which has 2,441,732 subscribers. Their channel contains challenge videos, where they do stupidly ridiculous stuff like playing with tasers and pouring hot candle wax on each other and more recently, the pair starting daily vlogging. Kian is also an actor and has featured in films like Shovel Buddies, which I have watched and was quite a good film and also The Chosen, which I will never watch as it is a horror film and I hate horror films! Jc has been on the front page of magazines and plays a part in an America only tv show called T@gged. Both Kian and Jc have their own channels, but they put so much into this channel that their own have become pretty inactive. They recently done a world tour where they toured America and visited Europe, putting on a show for their fans all over the world. They also released a book earlier this year called 'Don't Try This at Home,' which is a message everyone should hear before they watch their videos! They're funny, silly and immature and will no doubt make you laugh.

I would say that Tati is the biggest beauty guru on YouTube that not many people know about. Yes, she has 2,311,780 subscribers, but this isn't even close enough to what she deserves. Tati is probably most known for her series 'WTF Fridays,' where she purchases over the top priced beauty and skincare products and tries them out to kill everybody's curiosity and confirm whether the products are worth the whopping price tag that they come with. Tati can answer any beauty question you have. Her make up collection is more than impressive and she has tried anything make up related! She recommends skin care products for specific skin types and gives people tips and tricks how to make you make up last longer or how to stop your skin being so oily. Tati keeps a good balance of high end products and drug store products and will always try her best to give her subscribers a cheaper alternative to the higher end products, which is what I really like about her. She understands that the majority of her subscribers can't afford £75 for a foundation, so she will recommend dupes for high end faves. I also like how she is 100% honest about a product, if it's not good enough she'll tell you not to waste your money on it. If you're looking for make up advice or you're wanting to purchase a higher end make up product but you're not too sure whether about it being worth the hefty price tag, check out Tati's channel, she's more than likely reviewed it and she will have given an honest opinion on the product!

I have so many more YouTubers that I could recommend people to watch, but I would literally be here all day and night writing away! I really do recommend all the YouTubers that I have mentioned above, they're all different from one another and all post really different content. There really is a YouTuber out there for everybody!

For me, these YouTubers get a..
