♥ What I Got For My Birthday!

March 11, 2018

I actually forget how quick my birthday comes around after Christmas! I'm always so busy at this time of the year, it's as if I blink and it's my birthday! This birthday was really nice as I was able to spend it with Reece, which we haven't been able to the past two years as he was at college and couldn't take time off. I had such a lovely day and I got spoilt rotten from my boyfriend, family and friends, so I thought I would show you all the lovely gifts I got!

From my boyfriend..

Pictured - Harry Potter: The Wand Collection
I first saw this book a few months ago whilst I was Christmas shopping for gifts for my friends and I regretted not picking this book up back then! I love these spin off books that delve a little more into the Harry Potter world and explain in much more detail about particular things. This book details the wands of each and every character you can think of! It's a great addition to my Harry Potter collection and I can't wait to read it!

Pictured - Luna Lovegood 'Funko Pop'
I have been collecting Funko Pop's for just over a year now, and this one was one that I wanted from the very start! I have searched high and low to find a Luna for myself, but she is so popular that she's always out of stock! I think this is one of my favourite Pop's that I own! I love that she has the Gryffindor hat and I love how colourful she is! She's definitely a great addition to the collection.

Pictured - Disney Traditions 'Rainy Day Romance'
I have also become obsessed with collecting these gorgeous Disney ornaments since Reece and his parents bought me a couple for Christmas last year. I spied this one in a charity shop and it was a bargain price at better than half off. I had no money to spare at that time so Reece said he would send me over the money and I could have an early birthday gift. I was so happy as I had actually seen this one in the store in my city that sells Disney Traditions and I really liked this one. I love how colourful Minnie and Mickey are!

Pictured - Disney Traditions 'Find Your Own Way'
This was a total shock to open on my birthday! I'd sent Reece some photos of some Disney Traditions that I really liked and this Moana ornament was one of them. I really like this one because I love the little Pua! He's so cute - this picture doesn't even do him justice! Moana has fast became one of my favourite Disney films, I love the soundtrack and the moral behind the story line, so this Traditions is very appreciated and is going to be much loved!

From my parents..

Pictured - Mrs Rabbit and Peter
My parents know how much I love anything bunny and my Mum knows how much I loved Peter Rabbit as a child. We're quite lucky in we live very close to the Lake District, which if you didn't know, is where Beatrix Potter lived, so all the shops are jam packed full of Peter Rabbit ornaments, teddies and everything else you can think of! I really love this ornament a lot, I think it's so bloody adorable! This will definitely have a home on my shelving unit with all the other bunnies I have!

Pictured - Flopsy
I love this little ornament! Reece got me some Flopsy stuff for Christmas a couple years back so this is a really nice addition to those! I do think she looks a little angry, but she's still super cute!

Pictured - Disney Traditions 'Marie'
I have adored this Marie ornament since I first saw it! I got some money for my birthday from my parents so I decided I would grow my Disney Traditions collection a little bit more. I think Marie is one of my favourite Disney characters, she's so super cute and we share the same name! I love the pastel colours in the ornament, she's taking pride of place right at the front of the collection!

Pictured - Disney Traditions 'Thumper'
So we all know I love love love anything bunny related, and I already have the larger Thumper ornament that Reece got me for Christmas, but I just couldn't resist this super cute little version! I love his cheeky little smile and teeth poking out. The attention to detail on these ornaments is amazing! I can't wait to keep growing this collection!

From my boyfriends parents..

Pictured - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: Illustrated Edition
I am so in love with this book! I already have the Philosophers Stone and Fantastic Beasts illustrated editions and I love them! I love the imagery in these books and how beautifully presented they are. I can't wait to see more of these books brought to life with the gorgeous illustrations of Jim Kay. I don't even want to read these books because I want to keep them in pristine condition, but I can't help but flick through and admire the gorgeous work that has gone into them!

From my friend Jess..

I've mentioned Jess a few times on my blog, (@snapsoflush on Instagram) how we started talking due to our love of LUSH, finally got to meet each other at the Showcase and now speak almost every single day. She's became such a great friend over the last year and she very kindly sent me a box of goodies for my birthday!

Pictured - Thumper photo pegs
I honestly think Jess knows me better than I know myself! I have been looking for these for a while, I'd seen them on an Instagram post, but couldn't find them at all! I was so pleased to see these in the box from Jess! How cute are they! I'm going to place them on my bookshelf and find some cute quotes to place in the peg.

Pictured - Yankee Candle 'Raspberry Sundae' and 'Honeysuckle' votives
Jess knows I am a total sucker for a candle and she also knows that I have quite a few Yankee Candles too! How she managed to pick out two that I don't have, I have no idea! Raspberry Sundae smells so good, like a creamy raspberry meringue scent! I feel like I need to get this in a bigger version! Honeysuckle isn't something I would navigate towards in a shop, but it actually smells really nice! It smells like summer, like a nice walk through a field on a warm day. I may need to get a bigger size in this one too!

Pictured - Remus Lupin Funko POP
I can't believe that Jess bought me Lupin! I have been wanting him for a while, he's been on my wish list for about a year! But how Jess knew I didn't already have him, I have no idea! I love the detail in Lupin, the scars on his face and the hand in the pocket, just like in the film! He's going to look so good placed next to Sirius!

Pictured - 9 to 5 cleanser, Tea Tree Water toner water, Let The Good Times Roll cleanser and Plum Rain shower gel
I am so incredibly thankful for these LUSH bits! As I said in my February Favourites blog post, myself and Reece are going away to Edinburgh for a couple of nights (tomorrow - eek!) and one of the first things I thought was, 'I'm going to have to decant or traipse my 250g bottles of skincare with me.' How amazing of Jess to think of getting me the 100g bottles for travelling! This is so perfect! They're the perfect size for travelling, and I can take them over to Northern Ireland with me the next time I go to see Reece! I love how she knows my skin care routine too, my three go to products and my favourite regular line shower gel!

Pictured - Bunny Ring Dish
Oh I am such a sucker for anything bunny! I adore this ring dish! It's so bloody cute! I am going to place this on my dressing table so I can drop all my daily jewellery in there at the end of every day. I love the two little smooching bunnies and that one has a big floppy ear! I really like pieces like this and I can see myself using this a lot!

Pictured - 111 Places in Liverpool That You Shouldn't Miss, Mini Eggs and Lindt Bunny
If this isn't the biggest hint that I need to get my arse down to Liverpool and see Jess, I don't know what it! I am definitely travelling down to Liverpool this year to see her and spend a few days in Liverpool. Believe it or not, I've never actually been before! I've had a flick through this book and I've already seen some bits that I think look really interesting! I definitely want to visit 69a, an antique store, as they are one of my favourite places to visit and Holts Arcade, because it definitely has the New York looking style that the book says so! I really like books like this for places you've never visited before, because they give you an insight to all the small nooks that Google maybe doesn't know about! I'm really excited to visit Liverpool, and Jess!
Jess also included a bag of Mini Eggs which are my favourite ever so these are very much appreciated and also a Lindt Bunny, which I also love Lindt chocolate, but I don't think I can eat this because it's too bloody cute!

Pictured - Humpty Dumpty knot wrap
Not gonna lie, I think this is my favourite gift that Jess gave me for my birthday! I saw this knot wrap a few weeks ago on an Instagram post and I fell in love with it right there and then! This knot wrap is from Easter 2016, so I knew the chances of finding it in my store were slim, especially as I have already ratched through the knot wrap tub a few times. I had planned to ask if the Livingston and the Edinburgh stores had any when I was visiting there tomorrow, but now I don't need to hunt for it because Jess managed to get me one! I don't know whether she saw this and thought I would love it or saw the comment I left on the Instagram post, praising how gorgeous this knot wrap was, but either way I am so pleased to add it to my collection! I think this is my favourite one to date!

From my friend Lauren..

Pictured - Disney Traditions 'Be Adventurous'
My friend Lauren got me this stunning Disney Traditions ornament of Jasmine from Aladdin and I think she is stunning! I love the colour scheme of the blues and I love how big and flowing her hair is! She is for sure a good addition to my collection and just makes me want to collect all the other princesses now!
Lauren also got me one of those blankets that are a mermaid tale at the bottom. I was tucked up in it last night and I can confirm it is so warm and snug! I tried to take a photo of it but it's just to big to fit into an image!

As you can tell, I have been so super spoilt rotten by my family and friends. On top of all these amazing gifts I was also gifted £150 in cash from other family members and my parents. I am so thankful to each and every person who bought my a gift, sent me a card, posted on my Facebook wall or Instagram posts and direct messaged me to wish me a happy birthday!

Being 24 isn't so bad after all!
