I wait very patiently every single year, for the one day where I can walk into my local LUSH and know that I'm going to pick up a bargain. LUSH isn't like every other store, where they have sales all year round. They only ever have a sale on Boxing Day and it runs until there are no more seasonal products left and no more products made before October 1st. As you can imagine, for any Lushie, this is the most anticipated day of the year for them.
Every year, there are queues outside of the stores, the website goes down and people end up being really disappointed by not being able to purchase specific items that they want to. I am lucky enough to have a LUSH store right in the centre of my city, therefore I don't have to fight online for items and be disappointed when they are taken from my basket. I do however, have to deal with people literally swiping their hands across the shelves and emptying it into their basket. You can tell who is there for their own personal use and who is there to sell the products on. This really irritates me, as I know what it feels like when you really want a product or you really want to gift a product to someone you know would love it, but it's sold out. And to think that some Lushies who really do love the products miss out on their favourites because someone was money greedy and has listed them on eBay for triple the price, it makes me really sad.
On a better note, I was second in the queue this year. I have no idea where the queue came from once I left the shop as I swear there was only a handful of people behind me when I was waiting. I had a physical list of the items that I wanted, but that went right out the window the second I stepped into the store! I did manage to pick up quite a lot, I would have prefered to have been able to have saved more money to be able to have bought a few more bits, but I'm going to pop back into my store one Friday as I have time to kill until Reece gets here (yay!) and I think they may have a few products left, plus it's my first proper pay day from my new job so I need to treat myself!
So here we go, everything that I picked up in the Boxing Day sale!
Pictured: Christmas Bathtime Favourites gift set
Contents: Northern Lights, Stardust, Golden Wonder, Satsuma, Father Christmas, Mistletoe, Shoot for the Stars, Luxury Lush Pud and Butterbear.
This was an impulse buy. I originally planned to get the The Art of Bathing gift set but I couldn't see one. I thought this was a better buy when I looked at the contents as these are all seasonal products. Also, the box is really cute and I knew that after this haul I was going to need extra storage for bath bombs. I mainly wanted bath bombs this year as I was running dangerously low and needed a good stock up, so this gift was perfect!

This was another gift set that I did not intend on purchasing. I went in with the intention to only buy one gift set if any, and I really wanted Santa in Space. I couldn't see any, and it really broke my heart as the tin it came in was so cute and I like to grab gift sets with original line products as they never go on sale. I saw this tin as I was searching for the Santa in Space gift and thought this was a really good mix. The tin is so cute and I'm going to use it to store all my FUN.

Contents: Bûche de Noël and Let the Good Times Roll fresh cleansers.
Again, I didn't intend on buying this gift set either! I did plan on buying a large pot of Bûche de Noël but saw when I was queuing that there were no large pots. Before I bought my first Bûche de Noël, I used to use Let the Good Times Roll and I knew that it was in this gift set. For around £6 for the pair, I knew that the one and only set of these was going to be mine! I am so pleased I grabbed it, I love both these cleansers, Bûche de Noël smells like Christmas in a pot and Let the Good Times Roll is probably in my top 3 scents in LUSH. I love them both and I know they won't last long in my stash!

Contents: Snow Angel bath melt and Shoot for the Stars bath bomb.
I saw this lonely little gift, knew exactly what was in it and grabbed it. The store was so busy that I couldn't manage to get to the part of the bath bombs stand that Shoot for the Stars was at. I knew it was in this gift and I didn't plan on picking up any Snow Angels, so another product I didn't already have in my basket was a bonus. I love both these items and I don't think they will be in my wardrobe for very long.
Pictured: Under the Mistletoe gift set
Contents: Twilight shower gel, Snow Fairy body conditioner, Shooting Stars soap, Fairy Dust dusting powder, Sugar Plum Fairy lip scrubs and Rub Rub Rub shower scrub.
This was the only gift set that I actually intended on purchasing and managed to get. I wanted this gift set as this is purely products and no bath bombs or bubble bars. I love every product in this gift set, (except Twilight - but I am going to force myself to like lavender!) so I knew I would use them all. I was quite surprised when I opened this to see that the Rub Rub Rub was actually a full size product! I really thought this was going to be the same size as the Snow Fairy body conditioner. I couldn't have been happier with this gift set!
Pictured: Golden Wonder, Northern Lights and Peeping Santa.
These items were not part of a gift set, I picked them up separate. I grabbed two of each as I really like all of these products. Peeping Santa was the only bubble bar that I grabbed as I have so many bubble bars that I didn't think I needed to grab anymore. I did plan on getting these, as I love Peeping Santa because the scent is beautiful and aren't these just the cutest Peeping Santas ever! Golden Wonder is one of the nicest Christmas products ever and the day that they don't bring it back, there will be hell to pay! I also loved the new addition of Northern Lights this year, which is surprising to me as this has a floral scent and I normally don't go for floral scents.
Pictured: Never Mind the Ballistics, So White, Mistletoe and Luxury Lush Pud.
Another three of my much loved Christmas products are Never Mind the Ballistics, So White and Mistletoe. Again, I'm surprised that I like Mistletoe as this is another floral scented product. So White is one of my faves and I really wished I'd grabbed a couple more as I need so much of that apple scent in my life! Never Mind the Ballistics was new this year and is being compared to the infamous Roller due to the melt on the outside. This bomb smells like sherbet to me and these will probably be used pretty quick as these do not store very well! I also grabbed one Luxury Lush Pud as I have never ever used this bath bomb. I'm not a fan of lavender, but I want to start to use some of the lavender from LUSH as the products are so pretty! I actually ended up with three of these as there was a bomb in each of the gift sets, but I'm sure I'll use them up!
Pictured: Snow Fairy FUN and Snow Fairy body conditioner
I knew I wanted to pick up these products as I love the Snow Fairy scent. I was only able to grab a small pot of the body conditioner when I splurged on the release of the Christmas products. I don't think this will last me the year so I'm going to try and grab another one if I can. I also really love the addition of the Snow Fairy FUN also. A lot of people hate on the Snow Fairy scent, but I really don't understand why. This scent is so different to all the other scents, yes it is sweet and candy like, but it is different to anything else you have ever smelt from any other company. I love it, it has a part of my heart as this was the scent that brought me into the world of LUSH.

When I saw the the 1kg bottle of Snow Fairy was only just over £20 and worked out it would be just over £10 in the sale, I knew I was going to invest! This is the biggest bottle you can own and I love it! I'm going to have so much Snow Fairy which I really appreciate as I like to wash my hair with it. I also grabbed Bubbly and Rose Jam. I planned on purchasing 250g bottles and it wasn't until I got home that I realised I actually bought 500g bottles! I'm not complaining, as it was literally a couple of pounds more and I got double the product. I only wanted 250g bottles as I have a lot of that size bottles and they would have been nice to add to that collection. I'm not sure whether Bubbly will come back next year so I'm kind of glad I picked up a bigger size!
That is everything that I grabbed in the LUSH Boxing Day sale. I am super pleased with everything that I have managed to get my hands on. I know that there will be a lot of disappointed Lushies due to the way that they worked the LUSH website with queuing people in order to stop the website crashing. I tried the website on my way home from grabbing all of my goodies and I was placed as number 42,221 - which is an unbelievable amount of people! I really hope everyone managed to grab at least a few of the things that they wanted and I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a lovely Boxing Day.
