♥ What I Got For Christmas - 2016!

December 27, 2016

I get so excited seeing what people got for Christmas, so I thought I would do my own this year. I hope everybody had the most lovely day and got just as spoilt as I did.

Pictured: The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter
Reece knows me well. (Well, after being together for nearly three years I would hope he does!) I mentioned in passing that I would really like to have a rabbit themed Christmas, so Reece got me a few Peter Rabbit items. This was so cute of him as he knows that I really love bunnies and little did he know, I grew up with Peter Rabbit, maybe that's where my obsession started! This book is the original story without the amendments that can be found in other versions. I love this little book and I will keep it on show forever!

Pictured: Candy Cane Pandora Charm
I love my Pandora bracelet and I only ever get charms for it when they are gifts, so I love seeing that I have charms for my bracelet. Every charm has a meaning to me. This one, represents my favourite Yankee Candle, Candy Cane Lane. Reece may not know that, but it does. It's so cute! I was so happy to receive this charm as I had seen it and fell in love with it instantly. Also, as you can see in the second image, the bauble charm next to my Candy Cane was another one that Reece bought me last year, we appear to have a pattern and I am not complaining!

Pictured: Harry Potter onesie
As soon as I saw this, I wanted it. I was so pleased to see that Reece had bought me this. Obviously, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and a Harry Potter onesie has to be on the top of every Potterheads wish list. This is so super cosy and warm and the hood is shaped like a wizards hat! This is going to get so much wear and keep me toasty over the winter season.

Pictured: Christmas tree decoration from the Belfast Christmas Market
Whenever I get into Belfast, me and Reece visit the Christmas market. I love walking around the market and picking up the little handmade products that are for sale. I end up spending a tonne of money! Before I left for Ireland, I had been searching on Instagram to see what stalls were there. I saw a photograph of these super cute Christmas decorations and really wanted one! The day I landed in Belfast was a Sunday and myself and Reece weren't aware that the market would be closed at 6pm, which was before I would get there. Reece knew I really wanted this little decoration, so with minutes to spare before the market closed, he ran around to find the stall so he could buy me this little decoration. I am so super happy to have one of these as I really wanted one and I was devastated that the market was closed and also because Reece chose it!

So, sticking with the rabbit theme, Reece also got me this really adorable Peter Rabbit ornament which I think is so bloody cute! I have a lot of 'stuff' but I don't have any really nice proper ornaments, well I didn't until I received this gift! I love it, and I think I'm going to store this until we get our own little home because I love it so much and I don't want it to break!

Pictured: Harry Potter Vinyl POP Series 1
I have seen these little collectables EVERYWHERE! and I have been wanting to buy one and start a collection for a while, but to be honest, I didn't know whether Reece or my parents would be like 'Why are you buying that? It's a toy!' so I was extremely happy to receive this as a gift. I love my little Harry! I think I'm going to start a collection, I really want to get the Fantastic Beasts collection too, the Niffler is so cute! I can't wait to have them all!

Pictured: 'Good Little Bunnies' Peter Rabbit mug
Reece also gifted me this super cute little mug which matches another gift that you will see next! Keeping with the Peter Rabbit theme, this cute little mug has pictures of little bunnies all around it. It also has a quote from the Peter Rabbit book around the rim of the cup, 'hippity hippity hop hop hop' which I think is such a cute touch. Reece didn't know, but I received a mug like this, but with Peter Rabbit on the front, (this one has Flopsy) for my christening and I still have the mug! I really love this, I think it's so cute and I can't wait to use it!

Pictured: Flopsy bunny soft toy
Reece also got me this cute Flopsy soft toy. It's a running thing with Reece buying me soft toys. I know I'm 22 and I'm an 'adult,' but a girl can never have too many teddies! Flopsy is so soft to touch and is just so adorable. I think she's going to live on my headboard :)

Pictured: Satsuma bath bomb and knot wrap gift set
My parents went to Edinburgh a few weeks ago, went into the local LUSH store and asked if they had any limited edition items. The lady started pointing out all the Christmas stock, and my mum kept saying, 'She has this!' to every item the woman was suggesting. They selected this bath bomb as the lady told her that this was an Oxford Street exclusive and was only available in this gift set. I am so pleased to have my hands on another one of these bombs as I didn't plan on getting any in the sale because what would I do with all the knot wraps? I can't wait to use this bomb!

Pictured: Peppermint Frost candle
I went shopping with my mum a few weeks ago, so that we could get my Christmas gifts. We actually ended up getting all her gifts to Reece, and this was the only present that I picked for myself. I love mint scented candles, and this one has a slight chocolate scent to it. I wanted it as soon as I sniffed it! I love the jar as this can be res-used once the candle has burned out. I think it will be a new LUSH dust jar!

Pictured: Rubber Ducks
If you've read any of my other blog posts, you'll know that I'm obsessed with LUSH, so as you can imagine, I spend a lot of time in the bath. My stepdad always gets me a jokey present every year, and this year he picked some rubber ducks for me to take in the bath. Hilarious, but I probably will use them!

Pictured: Socks
Is it even Christmas if you don't get socks? Need I say anymore!

Pictured: M&S Woodland Print pj's
Ever since I was a kid I have always had new pj's for Christmas. There is nothing better than getting into bed on Christmas Eve after having a bath, putting on new pj's and getting into fresh bedding. This is something that I have been doing all my life! I planned on getting myself a set of pj's from Primark as they are cheap and cheerful, but they also do really nice Christmas pj's. When I was shopping with my Mum to get my gifts, I saw these in M&S and really liked them! I love anything with bunnies on, as you can see from my previous gifts from Reece, and these are christmassy and also have bunnies, perfect! I was allowed to open these on Christmas Eve, as I have always opened a gift on Christmas Eve. They are so comfy and feel silky! (Btw, if you like these, they will more than likely be going in the Christmas sale, so grab them while you can!)

Pictured: Agate book ends/candle holders
I have seen these so many times in TKMaxx and nearly bought them, but I could never find a matching pair or even two in the same colour. So when my Mum saw these in Edinburgh, she knew I would love them! I think these will be placed on display in my living room when I finally move out. I absolutely love them and I love the colours. As you can see in the second image, when they have a lit candle in them the visual is amazing! I have a few pieces of agate and a load of crystals, so these will be a great addition to my collection.

Pictured: Little Snow Fairy LUSH gift set
This gift was a total surprise! My parents grabbed this for me when they were in Edinburgh. Snow Fairy was one of the first products that got me into LUSH and I buy a fresh bottle every year. This year they brought out Snow Fairy FUN which carries the same scent, and does it really well! In this gift you get a mini FUN which is extremely cute and a 100g bottle of Snow Fairy shower gel. I plan to buy a huge 1kg bottle in the sale, so if I can't get my hands on any at least I know I have this fresh little bottle to get me through the year.

Pictured: Harry Potter dressing gown
I saw this when me and my Mum were in Primark and I so nearly bought it, but Mum said I still had some of my budget to spend and said that she would get me it. So I have known that I have been getting this present since October and you have no idea how many times I have wanted to wrap up in it! This dressing gown is so soft and cosy! I absolutely love it! And, like my onesie the hood is like a wizards hat! I am in love.

From my parents I also recieved a £30 LUSH gift card which I plan to use in the Boxing Day sale.

Pictured: Ted Baker Hara Heart Pendant Necklace in rose gold
I couldn't believe when I opened this gift and saw the Ted Baker green box! I am so happy with this necklace, it's stunning! Ted Baker is probably my favourite designer brand. Reece bought me a Ted Baker bangle and pair of earrings last year for Christmas which are both rose gold and I wear them a lot, so this necklace matches perfectly. I normally wear my Tiffany and Co 'Return to Tiffany' mini necklace that has the 'Return to Tiffany' pendant and a blue enamel heart pendant that Reece bought me for my 21st birthday, which I haven't taken off since the day I got it. I have however, swapped it out for this one and this is so cute and matches all my other daily jewellery. This is such a timeless piece and I absolutely love it.

Pictured: Bunny cushion
So turns out my boyfriends parents know me just as well as he does! This bunny cushion is on my bed as I write this and will be on there forever more! This cushion is so soft and feels like that fake suede material. I love it! The bunny is so cute! I joked with Reece that this will be on our sofa when we move out - but I wasn't joking!

Pictured: Harry Potter 'Wizards Welcome' door plaque
I have been best friends with Lauren since I was literally a baby. We have grew up together, been close our entire lives and I don't think there is a person in the world who knows me better than she does. So of course, she got me presents that I absolutely love! She got me this cute door plaque that I can hang on my door handle to inform muggles to keep out! I love this, it's so cute and definitely something that I would buy myself!

Pictured: Harry Potter bed throw
My city has just recently got a Primark and one of the things that I love about Primark is that they have a Harry Potter range. Most places don't sell HP stuff as I suppose the movie is classed as old now. I went to the till one day with some HP pj's and the lady said that they had a HP bed throw. I went and looked again but couldn't find it so it must have been sold out. Every time I have been in since, I have checked the homeware section for this product and every time I haven't been able to find it. I didn't even know what it looked like! I was so happy when I opened this gift on Christmas morning. Lauren said she saw it and knew instantly that I would love it and she was so right! I think this will be living on my sofa when I move out, as Reece is a total cold arse so it will definitely get use a lot!

I also received a £30 gift voucher for LUSH from my Aunty, Uncle and her two children, £40 cash from my Granda which I will probably spend in the LUSH sale and a £50 cheque from my Dads Stepdad which I will use to treat myself to something nice in the sales. I also received a mug and bracelet from Reece's aunt and a nightshirt and chocolates from his other Aunt. These aren't pictured as the chocolates were eaten a while ago, the nightshirt is in the wash and Reece has the other gifts in his suitcase as I wasn't able to squeeze all the gifts of him and his parents and manage to fit my clothes etc in at the same time! Reece also had to squeeze my Harry Potter Cluedo in his suitcase too. I've always wanted to play Cluedo after never having it as a kid, and I knew there was a HP version out there so he hunted it down for me! I was so happy to have it, I can't wait till Reece comes over for New Year so we can play it!

My favourite part about Christmas, aside from having Christmas dinner and having my Granda round, is probably getting other people gifts. I know this is really cliche to say, but I'm really not fussed about getting gifts for Christmas, I enjoy shopping for people and picking out things that I think they will love, especially for my goddaughter and my best friends little one. I'd love to see everyone open their gifts on Christmas day and see their reactions.

I really hope you all had an amazing Christmas. Just remember, the presents under the tree aren't the be all and end all, it's the people you surround yourself with that make your Christmas.

A very Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year!
