Pictured: LUSH Valentines Day Collection 2017
As promised, here is the low down on all of the products that LUSH have released for their Valentines Day range for 2017. I have been dying to get my hands on all of these products since the day they were launched, but as I now get paid monthly, I had to wait until the end of January. I think this is the first time I've ever went into LUSH and not really deterred from my budget list! I was also super happy that there was only one product I was unable to get as it was out of stock. Lets get into the products..
Pictured: Lots of Love gift set Price: £39.95
Includes: Prince Charming, Love You, Love You Lots, Lovestruck, Lover Lamp, Love Spell, Cupid and Rose Bombshell
As soon as I saw that this gift was available again this year, I knew I had to have one. I didn't purchase this gift last year and I immediately regretted it. I'm not going to lie, I bought this purely for the box. The box is stunning, the colour, the pattern, I love everything about it. I also like how this is a sturdy, proper box, much unlike the majority of LUSH gift boxes which are just cardboard. I think the selection of products is great, you get nearly the entire collection! I would recommend this gift, I think it's perfect for any Lushie or anyone who is starting to get into LUSH. This box contains a mixture of products with a mixture of scents, it's great.

I was so delightfully surprised by this bath bomb. I was a bit hesitant as to whether I was going to like this product as I am not much of a fan of violet. I was excited that Cupid includes fresh raspberry juice as an ingredient as I love raspberry and in my opinion, LUSH don't have enough products with that kind of scent. Luckily, to me this bath bomb smells like raspberry with a slight edge of violet. I really really like the scent of this bath bomb. I didn't expect it to perform amazingly in the bath, I expected it to be a really fast fizzer and be similar to Think Pink in the way that you don't really get much 'bath art.' I used my Cupid with a Lover Lamp and a little chunk of Unicorn Horn for bubbles, and I think it was one of my favourite baths ever. The water turned a opaque baby pink shade and I felt like I was bathing in raspberry milk! I think I will have to grab a few more of these before the range leaves our shelves!
Pictured: Unicorn Horn bubble bar Price: £4.25
If you're no stranger to my blog, you will know that up until this last month, never would I ever have purchased one Unicorn Horn, never mind four! Ever since this bubble bar was released back in 2014, I have been so tempted to try it out, but the scent put me off. I hated lavender scented products, with the exception of the Twilight bath bomb. I have started to come around and therefore stock piled on these little beauty's! This is one bubble bar that even when it is crumbled and being prepared for going under the running tap, it still looks gorgeous. The bright pink, blue and yellow in this bar is stunning, if a Unicorn Horn was a real thing, this would definitely be a perfect depiction! I didn't find that Unicorn Horn was extremely softening to the skin and I did use a lotion when I left the bath, but I wouldn't let that deter you from stocking up a few of these!

As I stated in my LUSH Valentine's Day Range Preview post, I don't get excited about this bath bomb. I don't think it's anything spectacular and I don't think the scent is anything to die for either. I think we've been spoilt with the amazing bath bombs we have like Intergalactic and The Experimenter, that if a baht bomb doesn't put on an amazing show, I'm just not as interested as I am for other bath bombs. I got a Lover Lamp in my Lots of Love gift set and while I was browsing I ended up picking up another one, I don't even know why. I had a bath yesterday as I came home from work ill, full of cold and with an awful headache and thought I would give this little guy a go as the scent isn't overpowering. I paired this bath bomb with Cupid and I have to say, it was probably one of the best baths I have ever had. As a stand alone product, if you are looking for a subtle bath or if you don't like the sometimes overpowering scents that LUSH have to offer, this would be perfect. For me, I think I have found the secret LUSH cocktail ingredient. The bath water became an opaque milky pink colour and I think it the opaque milkiness was due to this bath bomb. For that reason, I think I need to grab a few more Lover Lamps and apologise to them all for underestimating them!
Pictured: Ladybird bubble bar Price: £3.95
This is a product that I have been looking forward to getting. Ladybird was a new product last year that was released for Mothers Day. For some reason, I didn't grab one of these until the very last minute and I was only able to bag myself the last lonely one that my local store had. What made me purchase this in haste was the scent. Ladybird includes peppermint and we all know I love some mint in my LUSH products! I can't tell you how this performs in the bath as I haven't got round to using it yet. My one and only from last year, I kept hold of in case this little bug never made it to the store again. However, I can imagine that using the purple part of this bubble bar will make beautifully deep purple bath water and the red part will give you a blood red bathtub! Ladybird isn't just a straight forward mint scent, this bar also includes geranium oil, which makes the scent a little more complicated and acquired. I know I'm going to love this bubble bar and think I may need to bite the bullet and use my year old one in my next bath.
Pictured: Love Spell massage bar Price: £5.95
Another item that was included in my Lots of Love gift set was this lovely massage bar. I am a bit of a massage bar virgin. I have a Soft Coeur that I have used a few times, but I have so many body lotions that are easier to apply that I tend to sway more towards a lotion than using a massage bar. Also, with my boyfriend living in a different country, I can't get massages on the regular and if there's any massages being given when he's around, it's him asking me! However, I was glad to grab one of these as for one, it looks gorgeous! The colour and the little loves hearts on the top are just so cute! Also, the scent. I was expecting this to be straight up rose, but with the combination of aloe vera gel, rose hip syrup, carnation absolute and neroli oil, this is much more complex but gentle. I really like that this doesn't have an overpowering scent, You can definitely detect the rose hip but it is so subtle that if you weren't a massive rose fan, you could still like this product.
Pictured: Lovestruck bubble bar Price: £4.25
It is very rare that I come across a LUSH scent that I don't like. There is only one product that springs to mind, which is a very unpopular opinion. I really hate the Jungle scent. I bought the solid conditioner and on first smell I thought it smelt really tropical and lovely, but after using it and getting a whiff of my hair throughout the day after, I really couldn't stand it. I used it a few more times and still felt the same way, so my bar is sitting somewhere unknown within my LUSH collection and will probably stay there. Lovestruck on the other hand, I can't even bare to use. The scent on this bubble bar is odd, very odd. I purchased a Over and Over bath bomb and a Kiss Me Quick business wash card on the day of the release and went back the next day and grabbed one of these bubble bars. It looked so appealing, such a cute version of the heart eye emoji. I didn't smell it in the store, but all day at work I could smell a really funny smell and just put it down to people eating their dinner at their desk. When I got home I unwrapped Lovestruck and gave it a good ol' sniff and literally bowked. I have never smelt anything like it. I smell no citrus lemon scent at all, I smell pure cheap plastic. I kept sniffing it to try and see if I could figure out what it actually smelt like and it was that bad that it gave me a major headache. I got another Lovestruck in the Lots of Love gift set and to be honest, that product being in the set nearly put me off buying it. I just imagined opening the box and all the products inside smelling like that bubble bar. Fortunately, it didn't and the Rose Bombshell scent kind of took over. I thought maybe I'd grabbed one from a bad batch with the first one I bought, so I smelt this one and it smelt exactly the same. So both my Lovestruck's have been shoved at the back of my bubble bar draw in hope that they will thaw out and not have such a potent scent.
Pictured: Rose Bombshell bath bomb Price: £4.25
As soon as I realised that this bath bomb was Rose Jam scented, I knew I had to grab a couple. This bath bomb kind of reminds me of Mistletoe bath bomb from the Christmas 2016 range due to the pattern and the colours. However, Rose Bombshell is completely different to Mistletoe. Rose Bombshell is packed full of rose petals, so when this fast fizzing bath bomb releases it's centre, you will be swimming in roses, literally! On cold sniff, this very much has that Rose Jam scent and it smells gorgeous, however I find once it hits the water the scent kind of changed to more of a standard rose scent, which I'm not too keen on. I really thought I was going to absolutely love this bath bomb, but it's not one of my favourites.
Pictured: Love You, Love You Lots soap Price: £4.25 for 100g
I never really use soaps, I say as I look at the huge amount of soap I have in my collection! But, I think I would have grabbed a slice if this bar didn't come in my Lots of Love gift set. This soap is beautiful. The colours are perfect and I love how in the gift set you get a slice which actually says 'love' on it. Love You, Love You Lots lathers really well, I'd probably go as far to say the easiest lathering soap I have used. Much like Love Spell, I find that the scent is gentle and not too in your face. I think the coconut oil in this soap really tones down the rose syrup, oil and petal infusion. This soap works really well and I would like to think that Love You, Love You Lots will come back again next year as it definitely appears to be popular!
Pictured: Prince Charming shower cream Price: £5.50 for 100g, £10.95 for 250g, £18.50 for 500g and £32.95 for 1kg
I still have my bottle of Prince Charming from last year which has only been used a handful of times. This bottle however, I can't imagine will last as long in my collection. I have found a massive difference in this years Prince Charming compared to last year. According to the labels when I compared them, the ingredients are exactly the same and the only difference is that this year the shower cream is self preserving. However, I find that this years version of Prince Charming smells so much better! I think my bottle from last year had some extra pomegranate juice in it as I wasn't too keen on it. I didn't plan on buying a bottle of Prince Charming this year but I got this bottle in my Lots of Love gift set, and I'm bloody glad I did! I love this years version! It's thicker, more like a shower gel and it smells unbelievable! You can really smell the pomegranate but you can also smell a sweet scent which I'm guessing is the marshmallow root. This little bottle may have persuaded me to grab a 250g bottle!
Pictured: Over and Over bath bomb Price: £4.25
I am in love with this bath bomb. I think this may be in my top 5 ever bath bombs, and that is a bold statement! The show that Over and Over is nothing like I have ever seen before! In my personal opinion, I think this bomb beats Roller and Never Mind the Ballistics. Over and Over is definitely my favourite bath bomb in the bath bomb and melt selection. The colours are astounding this bath bomb really does do what the name states, it just rolls over and over around your tub leaving such gorgeous patterns in it's tracks. Over and Over is a fruity concoction of lime oil and limonene. I would maybe even go as far to say that this is one of the nicest fruity smells that LUSH offers, it is up there with the Avobath range. I have stocked up on Over and Over and I think I may need to grab a couple more before the range disappears. I think that these may not store well due to the weight of them, so like with the Roller issue, they may start to crack around the middle but I can't imagine Over and Over having the same storage issue as Never Mind the Ballistics with the 'blue mould dots' (I say in quotations as LUSH don't believe this is the case) as there are no fresh products in there that would cause such an issue. Honestly, go grab yourself one and fall in love with this great big ball of bicarb!
Pictured: Kiss Me Quick business wash card Price: £2.00
I love this product. I love love love love love this product. I really wish it could stay around longer than just Valentines Day. Kiss Me Quick carries the 29 High Street scent which is kind of hard to come by in stores. 29 High Street is a scent that was created to represent the overall smell of a LUSH store. Via the Kitchen, they have released a shower gel, a solid perfume and there have been a couple of products throughout the years that have carried this scent. You can also buy 29 High Street liquid perfume in the Poole store as a courtesy to that store being the first ever LUSH store on the planet! So when I picked this up in my local store and gave it a sniff, I recognised the scent straight away and was so shocked and surprised that this was the scent that was chosen for this product. Before this little card, I had never tried a wash card. I asked for the Best Wishes wash card from my boyfriend last year for my birthday but he grabbed me a few other bits instead. This wash card lathers up so well! I was expecting to have to work this one quite a bit to be able to get a good lather but I didn't need to. The only downside to this product is that once you have used it, it rips really easily and turns to mush, so I would recommend tearing a little bit off when you want to use it or cutting it into strips. I have a few more of these on the way in my sneaky online order and I think I'll snip a little bit off when I want to use it.
Pictured: Two Hearts Beating as One bath melt Price: £3.95
I tried as hard as I possibly could to put of using this stunning bath melt until I receive my LUSH mail from a very lovely Instagram account that I have been following for a while but started talking to the lovely lady just after Christmas. I agreed to grab @snapsoflush some bits that my local store still had after Boxing Day and we got chatting and she told me that she very kindly does Kitchen orders for some Lushies in Canada and Australia as the shipping directly from the LUSH Kitchen would cost them a fortune and as I done her a favour she very kindly offered to grab me some items from the Kitchen if I ever needed her to as I explained that I'm already in work when the menu goes live. When the Two Hearts Beating as One bath melt was floating around the internet, it looked so stunning, but what really sold me was the scent description, apricot oil, argan oil and almond oil. This sounded absolutely perfect. So when the LUSH Kitchen announced that they were making available a Two Hearts Beating as One shower gel, I had to swipe one up straight away, and luckily Jess was able to grab me a bottle, god bless her! I have been trying to put off trying out this bath melt until I had the shower gel to pair it with, but I just couldn't. I had to use one! Two Hearts Beating as One is absolutely stunning as soon as it hits the water. The scent is a perfect mixture of the apricot oil and light floral due to the jasmine, geranium and rose. I really like this, I hope LUSH make so many more products with this scent!
The only products that I haven't purchased in the LUSH Valentines Day 2017 range are The Kiss lip gloss and lip scrub as I already have a full tub of the lip scrub from last year and I don't think the colour of the lip gloss would suit me very well. I also haven't managed to purchase any Roller bath bombs because as soon as they become in stock, they go out of stock, so a huge high 5 to anybody who managed to bag themselves some!
Overall, I think this range has been really lovely with some great new products and some lovely scents. I do kind of wish that the Valentines Day range would branch out a bit more from rose scents, but we seem to be getting there with them including a 29 High Street scented product and Ladybird.
