I was very kindly asked if I would like to attend a LUSH bloggers event at my local LUSH store, which was a complete honour! Therefore I got my hands on these products before the release! I will be writing a separate blog post about the bloggers event and my experience within the next few days as this post is all about the new products!
I was very kindly asked if I would like to attend a LUSH bloggers event at my local LUSH store, which was a complete honour! Therefore I got my hands on these products before the release! I will be writing a separate blog post about the bloggers event and my experience within the next few days as this post is all about the new products!
I have been dying to get my hands on these products since they were loaded to the site, which feels like ages ago! I planned to spend my birthday (today!) going to LUSH and having a proper look at the products as I had the day off, instead of trying to cram my shop in my half an hour dinner break, but as I got my hands on the products early, I didn't need to!
I purchased everything that I wanted to and even some gift sets! This seems to be a running thing with me and new range releases, I have to buy a gift set! Anyway, on to the products!
Price: £28.95
Contains: Chocolate Easter Egg soap, Chick 'n' Mix bath bomb, Which Came First? bath bomb and Golden Egg bath bomb melt
This is the gift set I really wanted. I wanted it for the box. I'm not sure why, as this box isn't really a great storage box, but it is very different! Golden Egg has a great selection of products. I love gift sets that contain purely bath products as I know I will use them all. I do think that this gift set is slightly over prices as the amount for the products separately only totals to £21.35, therefore you are paying an extra £7.60, purely for the gift box.. If I'm being 100% honest, it's not worth it as the gift box isn't that practical, but if you're slightly obsessive about your soaps like I am, you are guaranteed to get a lovely rectangular shape soap.. I know, I'm weird. I am using this super cute gift box to store all my FUN in.
Price: £19.95
Contains: 100g of Green FUN, Orange FUN, Pink FUN, Purple FUN and Yellow FUN
Contains: 100g of Green FUN, Orange FUN, Pink FUN, Purple FUN and Yellow FUN
This gift set was another one that I knew I wanted as soon as I saw it. I never really reach for gift sets that include a knot wrap, as I never really know what to do with them. I have a few of the Satsuma knot wraps from the Satsuma gift set from Christmas and I also have a It's Christmas Deer knot wrap hanging on the back of my door. I would love to wear them in my hair, but I don't feel like I can pull it off. This knot wrap actually looks really pretty and bright so I might give it a try. The main reason that I wanted to grab this gift set it because the FUN bars included are all online exclusives. I love FUN, I love how you can multi use the product and I really like to wash my hair with it. I have had samples of all these types of FUN and I am so glad to have a proper bar of them all! Green FUN has a very citrus scent as the ingredients include lemon and lime oil. Orange FUN has a scent you wouldn't expect, lemon oil and grapefruit oil do give you a citrus scent, but it isn't orange as you would have expected! Pink FUN is one of my all time favourite FUN bars and carries a sweet scent, due to the tonka, which is quite reminiscent of Think Pink and Creamy Candy. Purple FUN is the orange scented FUN as it is full of Brazilian orange oil, which I was quite disappointed in as I wanted the scent of this bar to resemble The Comforter. Finally, Yellow FUN, which contains ingredients such as vanilla and gardenia, giving this bar a lovely slight floral and vanilla scent.

Price: £17.95
Contains: Chick 'n' Mix bath bomb, Golden Egg bath bomb melt and the pink Carrot bubble bar
I did not plan on purchasing this gift set until the bloggers event and when the lovely ladies who were hosting the event told me that the carrot packaging is actually glow in the dark! How cool is that! I thought this would be a great addition to my gift box collection that I have going on. The contents in this gift set are pretty good in my opinion. I like that Chick 'n' Mix has made it into the gift sets as it is a rather expensive bath bomb and a new one that is being released for the first time this year. I don't really understand why you only get one of the Carrot bubble bars, If you were to buy all the items in this set. which would be the complete three carrots, you would still save 55p. I do think that this is a good gift, but it's not worth the extra money in my opinion.
Price: £5.95 for 100g, £11.95 for 250g, £19.95 for 500g and £34.95 for 1kg
I really didn't know what to expect with this shower gel. Wash Behind Your Ears contains carrot infusion, neroli oil, rose oil, jasmine absolute and gardenia extract. Before I smelt this shower gel, I imagined it to smell similar to Two Hearts Beating as One shower gel which was released in the LUSH Kitchen a few weeks back. This shower gel is nothing like Two Hearts. I thought that the floral scent was going to be really in the forefront of this shower gel, but the only flower I can smell is the jasmine. I seem to change my mind about this shower gel every time I smell it. I really do think that Wash Behind Your Ears smells like another product that I have used before, but I can't put my finger on what it is. I'm a bit iffy about this product. I think you have to grab a sample and try it out for yourself. The girls at the bloggers event said that they had both used this shower gel the night before and one smelt really floral notes whereas the other smelt quite an earthy scent. I used this in the bath yesterday and I felt that it smelt different on the skin that what it did in the bottle. I'm going to have to give this one a few more tries before I work out whether I like it or not.
Price: £3.50 for 100g
As I stated in my LUSH Easter Preview, I am never excited about soap. I buy soap and I have quite a lot of it but I never really use it. Some of the soaps that I have in my collection I love, like Outback Mate and Magic Wand, but I really never reach for them. I find that shower gel is so much easier to use and I prefer liquid soap to wash my hands with. However, when I read the ingredients for this soap I was really intrigued. I thought this was going to smell so chocolatey, due to the name, but the ingredients include Sicilian lemon oil and grapefruit oil therefore I thought these ingredients would overpower any chocolate scent. I was wrong! Chocolate Easter Egg has a really creamy but fruity scent to it. It's not what I expected, but I'm not mad at it. You really pick up on the Sicilian lemon and that mixed with the vegan chocolate make Chocolate Easter Egg smell like a lemon cheesecake. This is a gorgeous soap, scent wise and sight!
Price: £7.95
I was so excited for this product! I love everything to do with bunnies, I buy everything I can that has bunnies on it or is a bunny. I have bunny lights, bunny jars, bunny cushions, bunny money boxes, bunny ornaments, bunny pjs - just bunny everything! I also have an actual bunny, Roo, whom I love to pieces! So as you can imagine, I would love bunny themed LUSH! I did already own a face jelly, the Papa Noel that was released for Christmas 2016 and as much as I wanted it, I haven't actually used it! Flopsy shares the scent of the Snowman shower jelly that comes out with the Christmas range. I am slightly disappointed in the scent that LUSH chose for this product. I think it would have been really nice if this jelly shared it's scent with the Chocolate Easter Egg soap. I am yet to try this but on first sniff and feel, I think I'm going to like this! I've heard so many good things from people who bought this at the LUSH Summit about how good it is for their skin. I can't wait to rub this bunny all over my face!
I find that lip scrubs are one of the most usable products that LUSH sell. The pot may look tiny, but that little jar will last you forever, I don't think I've ever finished a lip scrub, ever! I get quite dry lips as when I wear lipstick, I tend to sway more towards a liquid format. I find that these lip scrubs really do work away the dry skin and also any liquid lipstick that clings to your lips and doesn't want to come off! I was curious with Chocolate to taste it. If you don't know, all LUSH lip scrubs are edible so taste matters! And I can confirm, Chocolate tastes unbelievable! Literally like biting into a Terry's chocolate orange. I like the consistency of this lip scrub as well, quite like the Honey scrub from the Mother Day range, the sugar is a little stickier making it easier for you to apply and making sure that you don't loose half your product getting it from the pot to your lips. I would highly recommend Chocolate lip scrub!
Price: £6.95
I didn't know what to expect with this bath bomb as the only note listed on the LUSH website prior to this little guys release was tonka. Just tonka. I am really quite awful at distinguishing scents. I can separate fruity scents and I'm getting quite good at floral, but when it comes to scents such as neroli and tonka.. I get a little lost. I thought this was going to be slightly bland and maybe a bit boring, boy was I wrong! Chick 'n' Mix has a lovely sweet but slightly smokey scent to it. I don't think anybody could be insulted at the scent as it really is so gentle. I love how this bath bomb splits into three parts, allowing you three baths. But am I ever going to do that? Probably not! I know the price tag on this bath bomb may seem expensive, but when you see the amount of product you get, I think it's reasonable.
Price: £6.95
This is a bath bomb that has been around for a few years now. I love the Which Came First? bath bomb. It is slightly high in price, but the size of this bath bomb is insane! This is another product that has the sweet shop kind of scent, similar to Creamy Candy and a light Snow Fairy scent. Which Came First? makes your bath water a very lovely pink and the scent lingers on. The water becomes very silky. LUSH do suggest that you split this bath bomb into two and with this bomb, if you do you will find a really cute imagine inside, which I am not going to spoil for you!
Golden Egg is another product that has came back for a few Easter releases. I love this bomb/melt combination, Golden Egg is so moisturising and leaves your skin feeling great. I know that the lustre can put some people off, it did with me at first, but it really does just add to the bath! The lustre causes the water to become a beautiful glimmering lagoon that you will want to bottle up at keep! Golden Egg is packed with sweet wild orange oil and cocoa butter, so yes, this bomb melt shares the Honey I Washed the Kids scent! I love everything about this bomb melt and I will be grabbing a few more before the season is over!
I did not plan on purchasing any of these this year either. I had a bit of an issue with Bunch of Carrots last year. They just didn't really do their job.. I held them under the running water like I do with all my reusable bubble bars and it just didn't produce as many bubbles as I would have expected them to. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who felt this way and LUSH must have had a few emails regarding this matter because this year they have reformulated the bubble bar and it apparently does it's job right! This is another product like Flopsy that shares it's scent with the Snowman shower jelly and
FUN. I do not recommend using all of these bubble bars together, you will end up with brown sludgy bath!
That is all the products from this years LUSH Easter range! I think there are some great products in this range that I would highly recommend. I think this range gets a..
